The Flemington Neighbourhood learning centre (FNLC) is getting ready for spring. New beds and equipment have been purchaced with a grant from Bendigo Bank and support from Bulleen Art and Gardern Supplies (BAAG)

Dylan and Jo have packed a lot into a small space with earth bag vegetable beds, chickens, a food forest, espaliered fruit trees, a bee hive and more.

In less than a year the school has created an inviting,
productive food garden for the students. Check out the corrugated metal beds wicking beds, chickens,

Learn about: jam, fruit bottling, chutney, cordials and more from the experts including Marie Vassallo, Vice-president of the Victorian branch of the CWA and other local preservers.

Beyond Zero Emissions (BZE) is coming to MINTI

Dan Harris, an intern at BZE and Masters student at RMIT studying food security, urban agriculture and Permaculture will explore with us the links between these two movements towards a viable, renewable future for food and energy.

4th July film cancellation



MINTI has decided to cancel the film screening of Fresh scheduled for Monday 4th July.
The key ideas from the movie will be incorporated into our Food Forum on 21st August.
Stay tuned for further details about the forum.

Gary Allen, music teacher and local Flemington father of three lovely kids has nominated himself as Minti Minstral and has written a song for us. Gary and his family turn up regularly to our Minti events to play. Once with the 'Kahuna Daddies'. Here's the song.
